Revisions to the Collection Instruments
We are making the following revisions to the SSA-7:
• Change #1: We are revising the Privacy Act Statements on this collection
Justification #1: SSA’s Office of the General Counsel is conducting a systematic review of SSA’s Privacy Act Statements on agency forms. As a result, SSA is updating the Privacy Act Statements on this collection
Terms of Clearance
OMB placed the following Terms of Clearance on this Information Collection when they last approved it on 9/26/23:
Upon resubmission, the agency will provide additional detail in Question 2 of Supporting Statement A regarding how it believes respondents typically learn about being eligible for this benefit.
SSA response: As per the stipulation of the previous Terms of Clearance, and the requirements under M-22-10, we included additional detail in #2 of the Supporting Statement to explain how respondents learn about their eligibility for parents’ insurance benefits.
