Abstract: THIS SURVEY IS PART OF AN ONGOING SERIES THAT PROVIDES CURRENT DATA ON JAILS AND THEIR POPULATIONS TO FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL OFFICIALS, JAIL ADMINISTRATORS, AND RESEARCHERS FOR EVALUATING CURRENT CONDITIONS AND MAKING PLANS FOR FUTURE PROGRAMS. THE ESTIMATES RELEASED ON A YEARLY BASIS ALLOW FOR THE PROJECTION OF TRENDS.
