Abstract: THE DRUG-FREE SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES PROGRAM REGULATIONS REQUIRE THAT STATE AND LOCAL EDUCATIONAL AGENCIES, INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR FUNDING UNDER THE FOLLOWING DISCRETIONARY GRANT PROGRAMS: EMERGENCY GRANTS, SCHOOL PERSONNEL TRAINING GRANTS, DEMONSTRATION GRANTS, AND FEDERAL ACTIVITIES GRANTS.
