is approved as amended per telephone conversation with ED on
2/13/96. ED agrees to withdraw the customer surveys submitted with
the generic package and to resubmit under a separate process.
Clearance for this collection includes only the generic customer
satisfaction surveys and focus groups. The previous terms of
clearance stated on 10/28/94 still apply to this collection.

Customer satisfaction surveys and
focus group discussions will be conducted by the principal offices
of the Department of Education to measure customer satisfaction and
establish and improve customer service standards as required by
Executive Order 12862.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
