addendum of 1/7/97. Upon next submission for OMB Clearance, DOL
shall submit a plan for collecting/analyzing data that evaluates
women in the workforce that are seeking apprenticeships and
obtaining apprenticeships. Also, DOL shall submit a plan to address
the recommendations contained in the February 1995 report by Westat
that identifies a proposed action for improvements to the program,
the necessary changes that need to be made in order to achieve the
improvement and a time frame for completion. BAT agreed to update
OMB on progress made by their teams and provide a copy of the
program guidance memo. OMB is encouraged by the initiative BAT is
taking in order to improve the apprenticeship program.

Title 29 CFR part 30 sets forth

apprenticeship programs registered with the U.S. Department of
Labor and recognized State apprenticeship agencies.
