Terms of Clearance: Approved as amended by and consistent with NSF's memo to OMB of 2/3/99. Consistent with the 2/3 memo, NSF will complete the transition to the new race/ethnicity classification for the next survey round following the April 1999 survey. Also, in the next submission of this package NSF will update OMB on its initiative to allow respondents to reply to the questionnaires over the web.

Abstract: The NSRCG will support NSF in its legislative mandate to provide information on the Nation's scientists and engineers. The NSRCG:99 will collect comprehensive information on the education and employment of recent college graduates in the sciences and engineering and will follow up a sample of earlier degree recipients and collect data on their careers and education.
