USC 401 Name of Law: Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act
of 1974
The change in burden is an
ADJUSTMENT due to change (i.e., increase) in vessel population.
Recently, the Coast Guard shifted its commercial vessel safety
database from MSIS to MISLE. This change in databases has allowed
us to improve our estimate of the number of reporting and
recordkeeping activities related to this COI. There has been no
change to the information being collected. While we have an
increase in vessel population, this ICR reports a decrease in the
estimated annual number of responses. That is because of an error
in our last submission. Our 2007 ICR (approved 29 Feb 2008) should
have indicated 1,276 annual responses vice the 2,864 reported.
