Short Statement: The number of grants awarded has decreased over the last 3 year period. The burden estimate has increased for the grant program applications, post-award reporting, and peer reviewer applications raising the estimated time to complete complex reporting forms and increased emphasis on accountablility from OMB. A portion of the increase is due to a recalculated average hourly wage from $23.64 to $26.30.
