Motor carriers are required to maintain a copy of a driver's LCV training certification form in their Driver Qualification File to verify that the driver has been properly trained. This information collection will be used for the training certification of LCV drivers and instructors in accordance with 49 CFR 380.

This program adjustment is due to an increase in the estimated number of LCV drivers submitting training certificates to employers. The number of new drivers was revised down from 1,200 to 700, however, the previously approved estimates did not account for driver turnover, which added 15,050 drivers to the number estimated to be completing this activity each year.
