Abstract: CDC requests OMB approval for three years to continue annual information collection for the National Youth Tobacco Survey (NYTS). The NYTS was previously conducted by CDC in 2004, 2006, 2009, and on an annual basis for years 2011-2018. The NYTS employs a repeat cross-sectional design to develop national estimates of tobacco use behaviors and exposure to pro- and anti-tobacco influences among students enrolled in grades 6-12. This is a non-substantive change request to modify questions and to use the digital-based survey design.
