Participants will learn strategies for effecting change within a large bureaucracy
Participants will learn strategies for managing up to their governing board in order to ensure that the governing board is committed to quality authorizing and to improve decision making alignment
Participants will learn strategies and best practices for efficiently monitoring schools on an annual basis and communicating to schools and the public clearly and consistently regarding the results of annual monitoring
Participants will share their vision for the Capstone Project, including work plan, timeline, and get specific feedback from individuals in the cohort
Participants will develop: self-discipline strategies to produce quality results on time; time management skills; the ability to feel comfortable taking guidance; the appropriate level of self-confidence and the ability to know when to ask for help
Participants will examine methods for efficient and outcome-based interventions in response to clearly identified deficiencies in the school’s record of educational, organizational and/or financial performance
Participants will examine the decision making alignment between staff recommendations and board decisions and devise strategies to increase alignment, using lessons learned from NACSA in application decision making
Participants will be able to build high function teams that leverage others' expertise for success while creatively resolving resource constraints and conflicts
